Free Books

Okay. There already is some talk of what book we should read next. And whenever there is a new book, there is a new expense.

Or is there?

Here's a list of free books you can downlaod.

Anything from there we should read?

Nabokov blows my fucking mind.

I have been reading the "Enchanted Hunter" section over and over, and have yet to discover all of the covert allusions and subtleties it is brimming with. I am an enchanted hunter, so to speak. I've sort of developed a new interpretation of the book, based on certain clues, as well as things Nabokov does in other works .

Are you reading the notes along with the text? You may want to skip those, Bookworm.

I've been skipping a chunk of the notes. Some of them are about errors in capitalization that were corrected after the first printing. So insightful!

[You don't mind that I said "fuck" in your blog, do you? If you'd like, I'll keep it clean from now on.]

? Eulogy:

SaturdayCoffeeBookClub blog, you now seem to be defunct. You were great while you lasted, and I really enjoyed posting on you...you were a means to share some of my Nabokov marginalia with the masses. Hopefully you are now in a better place, amongst frollicking literati with endless time on their hands. May you rest in peace. Amen.
